Who is responsible for your information?

Information you provide

If you send a project enquiry, the website can collect your name, contact details, company, selected service and the information you choose to include in your message. The enquiry form is processed by Web3Forms so that your message can be delivered to FixItRoss.

This information is used to respond to your enquiry, understand the work you are considering, prepare quotations where requested, and take steps at your request before any agreement is entered into. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information through the form.

Microsoft Clarity

With your analytics consent, this website can use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use and interact with the site through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replay. This helps identify usability problems, understand which content is useful and improve the website.

Clarity may use first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies when analytics consent is granted. FixItRoss configures Clarity for analytics rather than advertising. Form input fields and dropdown contents are masked by Clarity, and the website also marks the enquiry form for explicit masking.

Microsoft states that Clarity playback data is normally retained for 30 days, while heatmap/click data and selected or labelled sessions can be retained for up to 9 months. Microsoft processes information under its own privacy terms.

Google Analytics

If a Google Analytics property is configured for this site, it is also treated as optional analytics. It only loads after analytics consent is granted. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled by this site implementation.

Google Analytics is used to understand aggregated website traffic, acquisition and page engagement. You can reject or withdraw analytics consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your analytics preference locally in your browser so it can remember your choice. This is necessary to honour the privacy setting you selected. Optional analytics scripts do not load until you accept analytics.

How long enquiry information is kept

Enquiry and project information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any resulting work, maintain appropriate business records, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations. Information that is no longer required is deleted or securely disposed of.

Who receives information?

Information is shared only where needed to operate the website or handle your enquiry, for example with Web3Forms for form delivery and, if you consent to analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are used as required by applicable data-protection law, which may include provider contractual arrangements and approved transfer mechanisms.

Your choices and rights

You can reject optional analytics without losing access to the website. You can also change your analytics choice later using Cookie settings in the footer.

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. You can contact FixItRoss at ross@fixitross.com. You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
