Hey, I’m Ross, the tinkerer behind the lens (and the code)
I’m a 44 year old Brit who never really outgrew the “How does that work?” phase. By day I secure networks and run a home‑lab that’s forever sprouting new automation experiments. By night I’m chasing perfect light, whether that’s a plate of runny-yolk perfection or a windswept landscape at blue hour.
Why the mash‑up?
-
Tech & Cyber‑security keep my left‑brain sharp: patching, scripting, and keeping my self‑hosted services humming.
-
Photography, video, and a bit of audio sorcery feed the right‑brain: capturing honest textures, telling food stories, and turning raw files into something tasty.
-
Learning is my through‑line. Every project, whether it’s hardening TLS settings or perfecting poached‑egg highlights, starts with, “What if…?”
On this site you’ll find: (Eventually, this is a work in progress, so please be patient)
-
Photography from Seascape to the plate, you will see it all.
-
Home‑lab how‑tos for fellow DIY sysadmins.
-
Creative workflows where cameras, code, and curiosity collide.
If that blend sounds like your cup of tea (or flat white), stick around, poke the buttons, and drop me a message, I’m always up for swapping tips and ideas.
